Audrey Wade is co-founder of Wade IP Law. Audrey has extensive experience in a variety of biochemical and medical technologies, including DNA polymerase, protein chemistry, kinetics, metabolisms, enzyme regulations, optics,
thermodynamics, mass spectrometry, laser technologies, fluorescence and UV spectroscopies.
Audrey’s practice encompasses drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications, analyzing patents for infringement and validity, and providing legal opinions. Audrey is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. Audrey previously served as a Patent Examiner at the USPTO in Technology Center 1600.
Audrey served as a Liaison for AIPLA’s Diverse Lawyers Target Committee and Biotechnology and Chemical Patenting Substantive Committee. Her association with AIPLA included drafting case summaries for the organization’s publications.
Her post-doctoral experience included development of diagnostic tools for detection of fungal, viral and bacterial infections in immunocompromised patients. In that capacity, she discovered four new bacterial species, which were submitted to the National Institutes of Health GenBank database, Accession Nos.: AF291818, AY238333, AY238334, and AY238335.
During graduate school, Audrey was a recipient of several prestigious awards, including the Patricia Robert Harris Fellowship, Biochemistry & Biophysics Graduate Association Grant, Texas A & M University Graduate College Grant, and travel funds to attend scientific conferences for consecutive years.
